Welcome to USVI Board of Psychology Examiners
The United States Virgin Islands Board of Psychology is charged with safeguarding the people of the United States Virgin Islands from the dangers of unqualified and improper practice of psychology. The Board is a group of four licensed psychologists and one consumer member appointed by the Governor of the United States Virgin Islands.
Practicing psychology means rendering or offering to render supervision, consultation, evaluation or therapy services to individuals, groups or organizations for the purpose of diagnosing or treating behavioral, emotional or mental disorders.
The Board protects the public health and welfare through regulation of the practice. The Board functions include licensing psychologists, approving psychology associates, renewing licenses, reviewing continuing education, promulgating regulations, interpreting the scope of practice and educating licensees. It also receives, investigates, and adjudicates complaints against licensed practitioners.
