Upon approval, your temporary license is in effect for a maximum of 30 days. As pursuant to 169n in The Law, It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in any of the following acts after the expiration of that 30 days: (1) to practice or offer to practice psychology in the United States Virgin Islands, to use any title, abbreviation, sign, care or device to indicate that such person is practicing psychology, to use any description of psychologist or psychological associate, associate psychologist, unless that person has been duly licensed to exempted under the provisions of this chapter; Anyone who willfully engages in any of these unlawful acts enumerated above shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not less than $500.00 nor more than $1,000 of each offense, and may be imprisoned for not more than twelve (12) months. The third or any subsequent conviction for violation of this section during a thirty-six (36) month period shall constitute a felony.
